The Difference Between Paraplegia And Quadriplegia. Paraplegia And Quadriplegia Are Two Completely Different Issues That Result From A Myriad Of Spinal Cord Injuries. They Both Refer To A Type Of Paralysis That Can Occur In Someone Of Any Age As A Result Of An Injury To The Spinal Cord.

What is the difference between hemiparesis and hemiplegia?

Hemiplegia means paralysis of one side of the body. Hemiparesis means a slight paralysis or weakness on one side of the body. Cerebral palsy is a broad term referring to abnormalities of motor control or movement of the body caused by an injury to a child’s brain.

Expain paraplegic?

Definition of paraplegia. : partial or complete paralysis of the lower half of the body with involvement of both legs that is usually due to injury or disease of the spinal cord in the thoracic or lumbar region.

What is Diplegic mean?

Diplegia, when used singularly, refers to paralysis affecting symmetrical parts of the body. This should not be confused with hemiplegia which refers to spasticity restricted to one side of the body, or quadriplegia which requires the involvement of all four limbs but not necessarily symmetrical.
